Mission & Philosophy
Our mission at Young Scholars Enrichment Center is to ensure parents their children will be encouraged to discover their individual strengths and unique talents. We believe that each child possesses an inborn capacity to learn. Learning is best accomplished in a place that is emotionally secure, physically safe and fun. While you are participating in our program, we would like to develop a partnership between home and school which benefits the development and growth of your child.
YSEC believes that children are precious and are cared for by capable and caring adults, whose values enable them to be excellent role models. We also believe children should be exposed to enriched learning experiences, leading to an increased sense of competence and independence. Children’s play is extremely vital to healthy physical development, acceptable social skills, and cognitive growth. Teachers, drawing upon their training and experience, must create an appropriate educational environment which carefully guides children from one developmental level to another.
